On July 13, the NLT30 ultrasonic automotive weld inspection system training, organized by Shanghai Newlite Industrial Co., Ltd., was successfully held at Kunshan Sinjia Automotive Components Co., Ltd. This training was conducted by engineers dispatched by the company, who provided detailed explanations on various aspects of the ultrasonic automotive weld inspection system, including detection principles, equipment usage, inspection plan development, inspection software operation, database management, automatic generation of inspection reports, daily equipment maintenance, potential problems, and solutions, as well as issues encountered during use. The purpose was to help automotive weld inspection technicians and operators better understand the principles and methods of inspection, promptly and accurately identify defects in automotive welds, avoid situations such as virtual welding, adhesive welding, and substandard weld cores, adjust welding processes promptly based on inspection results, and ensure the stability and reliability of the overall quality of automobiles.
Engineers conduct on-site training for the company’s inspection technical staff and operators. A total of 3 people participated in the training, 2 technical staff and 1 operator.
Engineers explained the detection principles and conducted on-site Q&A. Based on the explanation, live demonstrations are conducted, and technical and operating personnel are guided in hands-on operations.
After the training, each person independently completed the test plan formulation and on-site product testing, saved the test results, and printed the test reports.
According to the customer’s usage and feedback, there will be continued communication and learning in the future. The training ended successfully in a rich learning atmosphere on-site.
The main contents of the training
- Principle of Ultrasonic Testing: Explain the working principle of ultrasonic testing, as well as how this principle works in weld inspection.
- Ultrasonic Testing Evaluation Methods: Explain the principles of ultrasonic thickness measurement and adhesive bonding detection, and provide detailed explanations based on typical waveforms that may appear during inspection.
- Demonstrate the correct way to connect and disconnect ultrasonic probes and various precautions; introduce the functions of equipment, software, the sequence of turning on and off, and the functions of each interface.
- Inspection Planning Software: The functions of each menu, ability to use software to edit inspection plans, and establish a model of workpieces based on the welding acceptance requirements in conjunction with the engineering documents (establish inspection plans).
- Inspection Software: The functions of each menu, the ability to use inspection software for daily inspection work, and saving inspection data.
- Database Management: Filter the necessary inspection data based on the saved inspection data and automatically generate inspection reports.
- Equipment Maintenance: Storage of inspection instruments, precautions during transportation and use, and correct handling in case of malfunctions.
